How do I order?

Please place your order through the website or get in touch with me for a bespoke request via email or DM.

How do I personalise my order?

Our default choice for personalisation is multicoloured letters, which can be seen on the homepage images. Please reply to the confirmation email the desired name/word/numbers for personalisation and the choice of colour if you would prefer anything different to our standard multicoloured personalisation. Colours available for personalisation can be seen on the colour chart:

Crochet letters/numbers colours available: Light green, dark green, navy, dusky pink, bright fuchsia pink, light pink, purple, yellow, orange, red & turquoise.

The name I want to add for the personalisation is too long for your character limit, can this be changed?

Due to the size of the knitwear, there is a limited number of crochet letters/numbers that can fit on to it. As the knitwear size increases, more letters/numbers can fit on to it so I would suggest sizing up if you cannot fit what you'd like to on the smaller sizes. A blanket can accommodate the most amount of letters/numbers. However if you are after something in particular, please get in touch and I'll see what we can do as I love working on bespoke requests! Character limits: Newborn: 5 characters max; 0-3 months: 6 characters max; 3-6 months: 7 characters max; 6-12 months: 8 characters max; 1-2 years: 8 characters max; 2-3 years: 9 characters max; 3-4 years: 9 characters max; 4-5 years: 9 characters max; 5-6 years: 9 characters max; Blankets: 10 characters max

Are all of your knitwear pieces available for personalisation?

No, some are sold as seen and others can be personalised with names, initials or numbers. If you are buying a personalised piece you can add on the amount of letters/numbers to your order (£3 per letter) at the check-out and then email me the specifics of your personalisation number/name by replying to the confirmation email. Personalisations are put on the back in multi-coloured letters as a default but I can accommodate any colours/position if you would like something different.

What sizes do you sell?

We currently sell from newborn up to 6 years old. All listings have measurements stated on them and please also see size guide below:

What are your prices?

Prices start from £19.00 for a newborn cardigan and go up to £33.00 for a 5-6 year old cardigan.

Are your items new or preloved?

I try to incorporate a mixture of freshly knitted and preloved items into my knitwear, it will clearly state in the description if it is freshly knitted or preloved.

Can I buy an item even if I don't know the name of the baby yet?

Yes you can. The item will put aside for you - if you can just please reply to your confirmation email when you think you'll be able to let me know.

Can I contact you with a bespoke request?

Of course! I l love working on custom orders and would be happy to see what we can do together.

When do you restock?

I restock regularly, please sign up to my newsletter at the bottom of the homepage for drop notifications and check instagram for restock previews.

What packaging do you send the order in?

The item will be packaged in a GOTS certified organic stamped cotton dust bag (which can be used as a perfect gift bag too!) and sent tracked in eco friendly packaging (an envelope made from recycled plastics that would otherwise have ended up in landfill, and can be fully recycled).

What materials are your pieces made from?

Most pieces are acrylic, or a mix of bamboo, wool & nylon.

Can you machine wash the knitwear?

Yes, you can machine wash the knitwear, it comes with a care label and we recommend washing at 30 degrees on a short cycle and do not tumble dry.

Do you accept returns?

Due to most items being made to order we do not accept returns unless faulty. Please get in touch and we will help if anything is wrong. Please reply to your order confirmation within 24 hours if you notice any errors. Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

How long will it take to receive my order?

All orders are processed within 10 business days. You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email with tracking information once your order has shipped.

How much is shipping and do you ship worldwide?

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. UK orders are shipped tracked via Royal Mail 2nd Class Signed For and usually delivered within 5 business days. Europe and The Rest of the World are shipped tracked via Parcelforce at the cost of £19 / £22 and delivery time is variable on location. Don't Bother Grandma is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.).

Where are you based?

I am based in South London, UK and the timezone is GMT / BST.

I had something in my cart as it disappeared/sold out - why was that?

The site doesn't save baskets so I would recommend purchasing something quickly if you like it!

I really liked a knitwear piece you had, will you restock the same?

Most pieces are one-offs although I can get similar stock back in, to get the exact piece in is rare.
